Songs In My Pockets
You know how there are certain songs that you relate to certain incidents...or people? This would be a list of some songs...and the things or people I relate them to.- 'Black Black Heart' by 'David Usher' - reminds me of back in the 8th/9th grade...MEIS...when Teeny discovered this song, and we all (Annie, Teeny & me) went crazy over it, except we'd sing it editing out some parts, because back then the word 'sex' was just too icky to say. =P Even now, it feels weird to sing along to those words...just coz we didn't back then.
- All the BSB songs till the 'Black & Blue' album - Sigh. BSB. Do I need to say anything more? They're practically like the first few English songs I listened to...and it's the same case for a lot of girls. BSB songs are just...nostalgia...and amazingly good nostalgia too. There's nothing more you can say for them.
- 'Besame Mucho' by 'Dean Martin' - Reminds me of Dinshaw Uncle...and how he sang this song so beautifully when we went for the Ganapati Phule trip. This song is so him. And the song in itself is so amazing. Takes my crazy Piscean mind just a little further into the surreal world. =)
- 'Someday' by 'Flipsyde' - The Flipsyde Guy...what else would it be? Hehe. Never would I have thought brushing past a guy singing a song he was crazy about at that point of time...would work.
- 'The Rose' by 'Westlife' - I remember just how crazily happy I was while watching the personalised video of this song...feel goodness all around. *beams*
- 'Control Myself' by 'Jennifer Lopez & LL Cool J' - Shruti...all the way. This is so the purrfect song to relate to her. First, cos she loves it...and thinks J. Lo is this awwsum lady who has this awwsum dressing sense. Second, cos...like me, she actually likes stray songs like this, which sometimes, are so much more worth listening to than those common songs that everyone listens to. And third, cos something in my head goes 'Ting! Shruti!' every time a J. Lo song plays...and just a wee bit louder when it's this song. Hehe.
- 'Sexy Back' by 'Justin Timberlake' - Four words...Dirty. Babe. Linden. Patrao. ^_^ =P
- 'Didi' by 'Khaled' - This is a song I relate to my dad...=D. Can never forget him singing it to me when I was a kid, and replacing the word 'Didi' by 'Jiji'...which is his pet name for me.
- 'Faint' by 'Linkin Park' - Meester Neil Shivkar. Tis his favourite LP song...anyone who doesn't know that, doesn't know him well enough. =P
- 'Hear You Me' by 'Jimmy Eat World' - Reminds me of my favourite part of the jazz dance lessons I once went to...which was the end. LOL. The lights would be switched off...and we'd all lie down on the floor and spread out to cool off from all the dancing. This song would always be played in the background, and it was amazing to hear, all calm and soothing with the cover of darkness above us.
- 'Chalo Tumko Lekar Chale' by 'Shreya Ghoshal' - My mommy. =D She loves this song...and can listen to it so many times in a row it's irritating. Hehe.
- 'Violent Pornography' by 'System Of A Down' - I remember Mona...and meeting her friends KP and Nakul - nutcases, both of them. Hehe. The song's no less nutcasey.
- 'Everybody's Fool' by 'Evanescence' - Mafia night...that was one nice nice time. =)
- 'The Way You Look Tonight' by 'Frank Sinatra' - Aaahh...My Best Friend's Wedding, My Best Friend's Wedding!!! Sigh. When he sings the song to her in that low, husky tone...shit...would make any girl go all melty. *dreamy gaze*
- 'Weaker Side' by 'Absent Element' - Remember giving this song to Mani...to console her back then...when she was all pissed at that guy she came to know online. Somehow, the song was so perfect for her, right then.
- 'Freestyler' by 'Bomfunk MCs' - Culturals. Tavish. Tushar. Much fun. =)
- 'Original Fire' by 'Audioslave' - Sukanyaness! LOL. Just cos she recommended this song to me with so much enthusiasm, and cos she always ends up going crazy over these random songs, that not everyone would like as much as she does.
- 'Hero' by 'Darren Hayes' - Somehow, I relate this song to Harry Potter...and his situation when it comes to saving the magical world from Voldemort. Maybe I'm just way too much of an HP fan, but that's just how it is with me.
- 'Seven Days' by 'Craig David' - Reminds me of Jeevika and how she was once telling me this song gets stuck in your head and never seems to get out when you hear it...and it's so so true.
- 'Penny & Me' by 'Hanson' - Nowadays, all it reminds me of is how Shruti keeps telling me that's how my guy should be. He'd be the 'me' and I'd be 'Penny'. Sigh. If only.
Can't think of any more songs to put here right now...I know there are so many more, but whatever. =)
