Harry Potter Fanfiction
It's been ages since I've read Harry Potter fanfiction like I used to...about 4 months or more, actually. Ever since I came to Manipal, I haven't really had the time...or inclination, really, to go back to reading it. But I have these little phases now and then, where I just don't feel like reading, and I retract from it. And then I get completely and utterly buried in it again, delving into books and fanfiction like there's no end to the amount of reading I can do. I go about staring at computer screens endlessly, reading, devouring, practically living...fanfiction.And it feels good. Awesome, even.
It feels amazing to go back to an obsession, and remember why you were obsessed, and realise you still are, and probably always will be. Harry Potter is something I don't think I'll ever get tired of. Even if the series itself comes to a close, there will always be fanfiction. Endless, never ending amounts of it. It amazes me sometimes, how wonderfully creative it is. How much scope for imagination it holds...and when I say this...I mean Harry Potter fanfiction alone...for the Harry Potter universe seems to hold innumerable possibilities for new angles and storylines. Plus the fact that it has so many crazy, obsessed fans...of which a great number that can write bloody well.
I've also rediscovered just how much I love one-shots, thanks to fictionalcandie. She writes them brilliantly, conveying more in a sentence or word than most people convey in pages. Her one-shots are beautiful. I request you to please go check them out. =)
I feel like going back to writing 'Somewhere I Belong'. Maybe I'll even post up a chapter soon. Let my BC and Graphics exams get done with...and you can hope for an update to come your way, dear readers, whoever you may be. Hehe.
